VINCI Building team up to renovate a Veterans' wellbeing centre

Last month, VINCI Building’s West Midlands team joined forces to collaborate with a local charity called STEPWAY, which supports all Veterans in civilian life no matter their background or circumstance.
Neil Binder, Regional Coordinator at STEPWAY, contacted the teams to let them know that their wellbeing centre needed to be repainted due to the age of the building and wondered if they could help.
The teams came together to support the charity and helped repaint the work over the course of four days, making a positive change and a place that felt fresh and clean!
STEPWAY provides three main services across the West Midlands:
The Therapy Unit – a facility that is open to partner charities to use for free. A place where anyone can access support from various organisations including Op-Courage (NHS) DWP and the Poppy Factory. Moreover, pastoral care and advocacy is provided.
Banter and Brew – where anyone can pull up a chair and find their sense of belonging. Support, friendship, and advice can be found at the BANTER & BREW.
7-Step Civilian Skills Program - built around mental health awareness, and the survival kit for civvy street, this course has not only improved mental wellbeing but has also saved many lives!
