The Barn theatre is an operating facility which is amongst the best in Europe and perhaps the best in the UK, offering high uptime, high throughput and low cost per case. Would we do it again? We certainly would!

IHP built the four bed barn theatre facility – the UK’s first – as part of the wider £67M redevelopment of the 25,000m2 Hospital site. Features four operating zones, anaesthesia rooms, scrub areas and stores.

The objective of the barn operating theatre is to boost efficiency, reduce post-operative infection rates and minimise running costs.
